With so many of us going to Convention and those who have visited in the past we have had lots of different questions, tips and tricks that need to be shared. This Thread is for all of the above stated. I have gone ahead and compiled many comments from other team member's about Convention and have them listed below.

Tips:
Put your phone on Airplane mode so you can stay present during the main sessions! You can still take pictures but you won't be getting calls or texts.
You can go off site for meals. They had food trucks last year. Expect long lines for those. It's within walking distance of many restaurants and a couple malls with food courts. Or get online and order from Paradise Bakery. They deliver salads and sandwiches with water and a cookie for $10 delivery charge plus the cost of your choices. Menu is online. Jimmy Johns is another option. Another option is to get groceries from a store and bring your lunch this year (don't forget to bring a lunchbox or thermal bag). There were issues with seats being taken last year and it's just really hectic to go get something.
If you are staying downtown, you won't need a car. There is a free train that runs through town that makes farther things (more than a few blocks) more accessible. Most of the oil tool vendors are set up in hotels near the VSHA & SPCC making them easier to get to.
Plan on extra money for the convention kit. About $300 but well worth it. The Convention kit is a package of all the new products at a discounted rate available to those in attendance.
Rub deep blue on the bottom of your feet at the beginning of the day. Usually prevents the "my feet are killing me" at the end of the day.
Be sure to allow enough time to get registered before your scheduled tour time. It may be different now, but in the past, you have needed your ID bracelet/tour ticket to board the bus.
Pack lots of pens and paper for taking notes (or iPad or whatever else you use)
Lip balm!! I was miserable last year. No matter how much I used, my skin was so dry and sore. Battery pack for sure!! Clear out all the storage in your phone for pictures. You don't need a purse, as your backpack is an actual book bag and will hold everything you need.
Quarters and ziplock baggies! At the product showcare, there are "gumball" machines with the Onguard and Breathe drops and DigestTabs. You put a quarter in and it gives you a container. The Onguard and Breathe drops are MUCH cheaper this way than buying a bag from doterra. I try to stock up for the year this way.
What to Pack:
Comfortable Shoes and clothing, a light sweater, an additional Battery Pack for your phone, not a TON of oils since everyone will have some with them, samples (airport sharing for sure), extra suitcase or tote bag, chapstick as the air is very dry there and KLEENEX. Lot's of Kleenex.

Questions and Answers
Does everyone get a backpack?
Yes You will get it at registration. It will have your name tag and all of the information you'll need for the week.
Does the TRAX go from the Airport to the Hotels?
Yes the TRAx is $2.50 one way and it goes to most Hotels in Temple Square.
With all the hustle and bustle of convention...you might need to take a step back and get a breath of fresh air.
Here are 4 local parks to visit:
Memory Grove ~ a lovely park, hidden away downtown. It has a beautiful creek that runs into a little pond and lots of people and dogs mulling about.
Pioneer Park ~ this is a great park on Saturday/Sunday, because of the Downtown SLC Farmers Market and just a hop, skip and a jump from the Salt Palace.
Liberty Park ~ is HUGE, with a bark dust track for runners all the way around its perimeter. It has a lake in the middle and the Tracy Aviary. And on the weekends ~ a drum circle.
Sugar House Park ~ this one is farther away...but it's up in Sugar House which is a very fun part of the city. This park is also enormous with a large lake to feed ducks, swans, geese etc.
